Change Starts Here…
Did you know that only 1% of the population is actually good at sales? Maybe another 4% will do it, and get the job done.
That leaves 95% of the population that either will not or cannot sell. How can you build a network marketing organization if nobody can sell?
Sure, they have a “system” in place, right? We don’t sell, we filter out prospects, lead them to the information, and collect their decision. Uh huh. Sure. In case you weren’t aware, that’s selling! If you want to have real success, especially if your business has a higher cost of entry (which I recommend), this will be a process. If you don’t take the time to follow up with your prospects, understand their objections, and help them solve their problems, you just won’t have a whole lot of success.
What’s worse, 95% of your prospects (based on statistics) won’t have a chance of making sales either. I don’t know about you, but when I bring somebody into MY business, I want them to be as successful as me, or even more successful. Not only because it’s great for my business, but because I live for the joy I get when I see people change their lives for the better, especially if I was the one who helped them get there.
I can teach them everything I know about attraction marketing, driving traffic, and the sales process for that matter, but, the sad fact is, a lot of them are afraid to pick up the phone.
For those people, and the ones who just don’t have the time to do it right, I have always recommended they get someone to do it for them. If this really is a business for you, as opposed to the cash-sucking, frustrating hobby it ends up being for so many who get started, why not hire out your weaknesses? You are NOT good at everything, and you don’t have to be.
The faster you automate, systemize, and outsource, the faster your business will grow — no matter what business you’re in. If you don’t really “get this”, please read the E-Myth by Michael Gerber.
And once you get that you can’t do it all yourself and really get anywhere, go here:

They will call every one of your leads and follow up with them consistently and incessantly, until the prospect either says yes or ‘don’t ever call me again’. They are home business sales experts with an excellent track record of CLOSING SALES, and they’ll do it for YOUR business! What’s even better, they’ll do it for all of your new recruits, too! That means no more attrition. Do you get how powerful that is???
I just want to write this really quick post today to discuss this:
If you’re in network marketing, are you better off getting into a program that has a high cost of entry, and therefore higher commissions, or something that’s cheap, so anyone can afford it?
Here’s my opinion:
If you want to build a big business with a life-changing income and don’t want to wait years to get there, definitely choose a higher-end program. Here’s why:
That being said, if you’re looking at maximizing your income, it absolutely doesn’t hurt to be able to offer more than one opportunity. When I first started marketing my primary business, I realized that there were plenty of people who would have done well overall, but who, for whatever reason, couldn’t “get” the big numbers.
That’s why I started offering 2 lower-cost alternatives, and it’s worked out really well for me. Especially right now, there are a lot of success-minded people who are simply broke. You can be a life saver for them if:
If you can do that for people who need it, you’ll make a ton of money yourself (remember — everyone is paid based on the value they provide to society) AND you’ll like who you see in the mirror.
I did try a “super-cheap” program once. I made a few sales really quickly, but most of the people I brought in never did anything with it. I felt bad, so I quit that. I would suggest if you offer anything really cheap like that, make sure there’s a “hands-free” option for running it. Because the people you bring in, who aren’t willing to invest something to start a business, likely won’t want to do anything on their own to make it work. Just sayin.
Have you been hearing all the buzz about the law of attraction and thinking something along the lines of “Oh sure — sit around and think positive thoughts, and the ‘universe’ will bring you everything you want. What a joke!”
I can completely understand where you’re coming from. While the movie “The Secret” did a great job in getting the word out to the masses, to some degree it failed miserably. See, I already knew quite a bit about the law of attraction (or so I thought) before I saw the movie. When I did watch “The Secret”, I was a little annoyed. I thought they sensationalized it way too much, and led people to believe that they could just sit around and do nothing, and bicycles would be dropped at their doorsteps.
But here’s the thing. The Law of Attraction is only one of the natural laws of the universe. You have to also consider the Law of Right Action. See, if your mind is operating at the right frequency to allow good things, the universe will see to it that you have access to those things. Then, you have to take action to get them!
If you look at it from a psychological standpoint it might make more sense to you. Consider this: If you’re saying you want, deserve, and will have a lot of money for example, but do nothing to go out and get it, aren’t you really saying to yourself that you’re not actually capable of doing what it takes? So in essence, your lack of action implies fear or disbelief. If you don’t believe you can do it, the universe won’t believe it either. And the universe always delivers what you expect, not necessarily what you think you want.
I’d love to hear some comments on this one. I think the explanation would be much clearer if we had a discussion, don’t you?
This is a free video series that gives you some great tips on how to get some free traffic. I think for the minimal cost (I think it’s about $30) you should really just get the course, but if all you have is “free” then you’ll still get some good ideas from the free videos…
Here’s some awesome free training on making money with social media. It includes some excellent videos (15 of them I think), and really awesome diagrams that let you see visually how all the sites connect. Great stuff — can’t believe all this is free…
One of my mentors once said: “There are about a zillion ways to make a million dollars.” At the time, my first thought was, ‘yeah, right!’
But now I get it. However, you can’t do a ‘zillion’ things at once, can you? So here’s a little bit about what I’m doing to make money right now, in this economy. If you’d like to join me, fill out the form below this video, and I’ll give you a call and see if there’s something we can work on together. If not, I can still point you in a direction that’s right for you.
If you’re not making money from the power of social media sites like MySpace, Facebook, YouTube, Hubpages, or Squidoo, there can only be one of two things going on — either
1) You’re not using those sites at all, or
2) You’re doing it all wrong!
Honestly, if you’re not using them at all, just consider these few facts:
Which brings us to the second reason you may not be making money with social media — you’re doing it all wrong! Now, if you want to get really serious about this, and make it the primary source of leads for your business, you can get a great course by Perry Belcher and Ryan Deiss, called the Social Media Money System, or get the free videos and cheat sheets.
But I can give you the main points of a successful social media marketing campaign right here:
But that’s where the similarities between traditional marketing and social media marketing end. Beyond that stuff, if you do any “traditional” marketing or selling of any kind on social media, you will be banned! Not only by the providers for misusing their service, but by the users. They’re NOT there to be sold to! So here are a few tips:
I’ll try to create another post with more details about the how-to soon. For now, get the free videos from Perry, create your image, set up your profiles, and start making friends. If you have any questions on details, drop me a line right here…
As most of you know, I’m a constant student of personal development. I study universal laws, like the law of attraction, and I also study success and the subconscious from a psychological standpoint.
I can no longer count the number of books I’ve read, courses I’ve studied, or gurus I’ve encountered. I literally devour the stuff. It keeps me going when things get tough, and helps me ensure that things get tough less frequently with each passing year.
Some of my favorite authors and speakers on personal development are Earl Nightingale, Michael Losier, Jim Rohn, and Bob Proctor. I admire them less for what they know (though they seem to have a TON of knowledge) and more for how they explain things. They get me to look at things differently than some other authors.
Anyway, when I first came across Bob Proctor’s “Six Minutes To Success” video series, I had to get in. It wasn’t even a question. There was a 7-day free trial, but I knew I wouldn’t ever dream of quitting, because I really enjoy hearing Bob Proctor’s perspective on things.
But I have to give a completely honest review here. As much as I love Bob Proctor, I have to admit I nearly cancelled my subscription at the end of my 7-day free trial. It wasn’t that the material wasn’t good, it was just that it moved too slowly for me. I’m used to devouring this kind of information. But here, I got a 1-2 minute video, followed by a 4-5 minute exercise. It was literally only Six Minutes a day.
Lucky for me, I missed the cancellation period — just got busy (or was it some kind of “divine intervention”?). Anyway, I thought I’d continue through a good part of that first month, since I had paid for it, and then quit before I got billed again.
Anyway, I started seeing REAL results! I was waaaaayyyy more focused on my business, and my income more than doubled. I am NOT lying!
I think having to focus on one small thing each day really made a difference. As I said, I normally devour this stuff, just because I love it so much. But when you do that, you can certainly miss out on some of the details.
I would encourage you to give it a try for yourself. Especially if you’re in network marketing, real estate, or any kind of sales position where you can see results quickly. I would suggest that you consider doing at least the first full month though, as that’s when I really started to see results. Good Luck!
Since my first experience in internet-based network marketing, I’ve been hearing about how great the book “Think and Grow Rich” by Napoleon Hill was. My upline leader in Usana told me to get it, so I did. I not only got it, I actually read it. (I hear not everybody actually reads the books they buy LOL).
Anyway, I wasn’t really impressed. And I kept hearing about it. And hearing about it. It honestly got kind of annoying. I mean, I have an open mind, I really do, but that book just didn’t do it for me.
Until finally, I got involved with a program by Bob Proctor. I absolutely love Bob Proctor, and I have the utmost respect for him. The way he teaches, and the VAST amount of real knowledge he has. Come to find out, his inspiration, his primary source of knowledge about the subjects of universal law, prosperity consciousness, personal development, and success in general, was “Think and Grow Rich” by Napoleon Hill!
For a second, just a brief second, I lost a tiny bit of respect for Bob Proctor. And then I thought about it. Where in life is Bob Proctor, and where in life am I??? (If you know anything at all about personal achievement and success, you know the first step is to look inside yourself. I did, and I realized I had nothing on Mr. Proctor!)
Anyway, I noticed in a video, that the book Bob Proctor was reading from, was supposedly “Think and Grow Rich” by Napoleon Hill. But the copy he was reading from was probably three times longer than the book I read, at least by the looks of it.
So I ordered the version HE recommended. WOW! What a difference! I guess I had originally read some watered-down version of the book, re-written by somebody just trying to make a quick buck after the book’s copyright ran out.
If you’ve never read “Think and Grow Rich”, or you’ve read it and didn’t get much out of it, make sure you get the original version of the book. If you READ the book, and actually open your mind to the possibilities, you will truly be blown away. As I was, and as Bob Proctor has been for over 50 years now.
It’s cheap at Amazon.com, and you can probably find it free at your local library. Just make sure you get this version…
